Technology makes textbooks obsolete

There is no doubt that technology shapes and enhances the way teachers instruct and students learn. This opinion piece makes the case that universities should be even more aggressive in using technology to advance the cause of education. The author cites as an example the University of Missouri which requires admitted freshmen of the School of Journalism to own an Apple iPod Touch or equivalent.
